PSHE ‘Symbol Superheroes’ Competition!
Is it a bird… is it a plane... No, it’s the CBBFC Symbol Superheroes competition!
To celebrate our new key stage 1 PSHE resource, we launched a ‘Symbol Superheroes’ competition, open to all Year 1 and Year 2 (or equivalent) classes across the UK.
For the competition, we asked students to use our iconic U and PG symbols to draw their very own BBFC superhero character.
After receiving lots of fantastic entries, we are delighted to announce that Jack, age 7, from Abbey Park First School & Yvonni, age 7, from Burgess Hill Girls are the winners of our Superhero Symbol Competition. Check out their winning entries:
After much deliberation, we were able to narrow down all of the fantastic entries to a final 10. However, Jack and Yvonni’s designs stole the show, showing creativity, talent and using lots of eye-catching colours!
Sarah Peacock, Compliance & Education Manager and judge of the competition, said: “We had so many fantastic entries for our competition and we’d like to thank every single class that took part. We hope that you enjoyed drawing your own BBFC age rating superhero and that it helped you understand what BBFC age ratings are and why they’re important, wherever or whenever you watch content.”
Both classes will receive £200 worth of filmmaking equipment for their school, as well as a personalised BBFC Black Card. On top of that, the two creators of the best superhero from the winning classes have won a BBFC goody bag and a £50 cinema voucher!
