THE POST is a US drama, based on true events from 1971, in which American newspapers race to expose a government cover-up of Vietnam War secrets.

Language

The film contains some strong language. Most of the uses of strong language occur in a scene in which an anti-War protest chant is heard in the background, and the chant is muffled and slightly muted. There is also an offensive middle finger gesture, and some milder bad language.

Violence

In one scene, set during the Vietnam war, soldiers are shot during a night battle, and there is brief sight of a bloodstained hand. A later scene shows corpses in body bags. However, there is limited detail.

There is a brief verbal drug misuse reference.

Scenes in which adults smoke cigarettes reflect the time period in which the film is set.
